Regional Congratulations for New Toyota-Mazda Plant

The City of Decatur would like to extend a most heartfelt congratulations to the City of Huntsville, Alabama – Government, the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber, the Alabama Department of Commerce, the Limestone County EDA, and the Limestone County, Ala. – Commission for welcoming the Toyota USA-Mazda manufacturing facility to North Alabama.

So aptly deemed a landmark automotive facility, we know that our entire region will feel the resounding repercussions in our schools, our neighborhoods, and our cities from this initial $1.4 billion investment.

It has been an honor to help serve in the collaborative regional effort to bring this exceptional opportunity to our community at-large.

Thanks to the exemplary economic teamwork exercised, Decatur-Morgan County has experienced $500 million in industrial growth in the past year.

As North Alabama moves forward into a bright new chapter of economic development, the City of Decatur looks forward to continue serving as a regional partner in showcasing what it really means to be “Made in Alabama.”
